Fostering Connections and Opportunities: FHQ Developments & Tokata HR Solutions Triumph with 5th Annual Indigenous Student & Professionals Networking Event

FHQ Developments proudly reflects on the success of the 5th Annual Indigenous Student & Professionals Networking Event held at Conexus Arts Centre on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. This year’s event, like its predecessors, aimed to bridge the gap between Indigenous students and professionals, providing a platform for meaningful connections and opportunities.

Networking took center stage as FHQ Developments emphasized its significance in both career searches and development. The event opened doors for attendees to meet potential employers and establish a network of contacts crucial for reaching future career goals.

The event garnered an enthusiastic response. Some of the wonderful employers in attendance included Nutrien (Exclusive Event Sponsor), Farm Credit Canada (FCC), Graham Construction, SaskGaming, KPMG, Enbridge, Topa Contracting, Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI), and Scotiabank. Nutrien, the Exclusive Event Sponsor, presented their Nutrien Career Presentation, adding value to the evening.

The Conexus Arts Centre provided the perfect backdrop for an evening of networking and appetizers with companies eager to hire and collaborate with Indigenous talent. The event catered to individuals seeking opportunities in various fields, including construction, administration, engineering, information technologies (IT), accounting and finance, human resources, trades, customer service, labourer, janitorial, mining, marketing, and more.

FHQ Developments expressed gratitude to sponsors, employers, students, professionals, and staff for their support, emphasizing the achievement of their goal of connecting Indigenous students and professionals with employers.

The event’s success was evident as participants engaged in networking, enjoying the atmosphere and opportunities presented.
