FHQ Developments Hosts Successful 4th Annual Networking Event, Connecting Indigenous Students and Professionals with Leading Employers

FHQ Developments is thrilled to reflect on the success of our 4th Annual Professional Networking Event, which took place on February 17, 2022, at the AGT Lounge in Mosaic Stadium. Originally scheduled for January 19, 2022, the event brought together Indigenous students and professionals for a dynamic and impactful networking experience.

Networking, a crucial skill in career development, was at the forefront of this event. Recognizing the power of building connections, FHQ Developments aimed to provide a platform where Indigenous individuals could meet potential employers and establish a network that would contribute to their future career goals.

We were honoured to host our Professional Networking Event at the Mosaic Stadium’s AGT Lounge. The response was overwhelming, with spots filling up fast.

A diverse array of employers participated in the event, including Farm Credit Canada (FCC), K+S Potash Canada, The Mosaic Company, SaskPower, Praxis Consulting, BHP, Regina Trades & Skills, Graham Construction & Engineering Inc, Athabasca Catering, Regina Police Service, PCL Construction, SaskGaming, Stantec, ATCO, and many more.

The event emphasized the importance of networking for career success. FHQ Developments President and CEO highlighted the advantages of constant networking, stating, “Students and professionals that are constantly networking have a better chance of securing employment than those that don’t.”

Attendees were encouraged to dress professionally, show sincerity and interest, set goals for the event, make effective introductions, and take notes during conversations. These tips aimed to help participants make the most out of the fast-paced, exciting 2-hour session.

FHQ Developments expressed gratitude to all attendees and sponsors for contributing to the success of the 4th Annual Professional Networking Event. The event not only facilitated meaningful connections but also provided valuable insights into the world of networking, empowering Indigenous students and professionals on their journey toward career success.

We look forward to seeing you at the next networking event! See information on our annual signature students & professionals networking event.
