Jason Koochicum, Manager of Economic Development
Jason Koochicum joined FHQ Developments Ltd. in 2012 and is the Manager of Economic Development. Jason received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Regina.
Jason has experience working with File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council as a Youth Worker, Regina Police Service as an Aboriginal Resource Officer in the Victim Services Unit, Paul Dojack & House of Concord working with Youth in Open and Closed Custody, Circle Project as a Family Violence Coordinator, Canada Summer Games as Aboriginal Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator, Sasktel Selection & Staffing and the Government of Saskatchewan as a Career & Employment Consultant. Jason has over 16 years of experience working with individuals who face multiple barriers and does his best to try and alleviate some of the barriers First Nations face upon entering the workforce.
As a key member of the Tokata HR Solutions team, Jason identifies partnerships and markets Tokata’s solutions. He has multiple contacts with educators, the business community and potential talent. Among other responsibilities, his role is to liaise with existing/potential partners, develop proposals, negotiate contractual agreements and ensure all stakeholders are satisfied with the outcomes.
Jason is a member of the Peepeekisis First Nation. Jason is an avid hunter enjoying time in the bush and the camaraderie with his friends. He is a die-hard Montreal Canadiens Fan, Rider Fan, music lover, and enjoys attending Regina Pats Hockey Games.
