FHQ Developments Celebrates Success of Inaugural Professional Networking Event
FHQ Developments proudly reflects on the success of the 1st Annual Professional Networking Event held on February 27, 2019, at Path Cowork in Regina. The event, presented in collaboration with the Aboriginal Government Employees Network (AGEN) and Regina Aboriginal Professional Association (RAPA), marked a significant step toward advancing employment and livelihood opportunities for Indigenous professionals.
As part of our commitment to fostering economic independence and prosperity for our Limited Partners and citizens, FHQ Developments, through its Employment and Retention Services, collaborated with partners to identify exclusive employment opportunities. The event provided a platform for Indigenous talent to engage in industry and workplace information sessions, initial interviews, and onboarding processes. The ongoing support, emphasizing retention strategies, aimed to build lasting relationships between employers and Indigenous professionals.
The heart of our mission lies in relationship management, starting with the creation of initial contact networks and targeted recruitment efforts. The registration and assessment processes were designed to connect individuals with long-term employment opportunities, supporting them throughout their journey.
FHQ Developments was honoured to host Indigenous professionals in collaboration with AGEN and RAPA. The event offered an evening of appetizers, drinks, and networking, providing a unique space for Indigenous professionals to connect. Attendees had the opportunity to hear a brief presentation from our President/CEO, Thomas Benjoe, who shared his vision for advancing Indigenous talent in an ever-changing economy. Representatives from AGEN and RAPA also shared valuable information on exciting opportunities.
The event was not only a celebration of networking but also featured great door prizes, adding an extra layer of excitement. FHQ Developments extends gratitude to all participants, partners, and sponsors who contributed to the success of this inaugural Professional Networking Event, laying the foundation for future endeavours in advancing Indigenous professionals in the workforce.
We look forward to seeing you at the next networking event! See information on our annual signature students & professionals networking event.
