Elevating Indigenous Economic Prosperity: FHQ Developments Successfully Hosts 2nd Annual 2023 Indigenous Economic Development Forum (IEDF)

FHQ Developments expresses sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in the 2nd Annual Indigenous Economic Development Forum (IEDF) on March 24, 2023, themed “Journey Together to Economic Prosperity“

This gathering, aimed at featuring speakers from Indigenous Economic Development Corporations filled the gaps many businesses need to develop and grow, and wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors, notably Indigenous Services Canada.

The success of the event was evident as we showcased Economic Development Corporations from the province, providing invaluable insights into their strategies and experiences. FHQ Developments is committed to sharing this wealth of knowledge, as the presentations will soon be available on our website for those who couldn’t attend or wish to revisit the discussions.

The forum provided an opportunity for Nations to discuss and provide feedback to the Federal Government concerning Ec Dev programs and participation. It played a crucial role in identifying barriers that had prevented Indigenous people from being successful in their Ec Dev pursuits for future programs and preventing obstacles to successful entry.

During the event, discussions revolved around Economic Reconciliation through Indigenous-led business models. The forum successfully connected key stakeholders in business communities with Indigenous participants, shared insights into future economic and investment opportunities, outlined the impact of Indigenous participation, and highlighted successful practices.
