In December, 2014 FHQ Developments finalized a partnership agreement with the Government of Saskatchewan to provide a range of labour market services focused on brokering the relationship between First Nation job seekers and employers.
The Agreement will help to provide job placements, client assessment services and greater access to pre-employment readiness training for Aboriginal people, with a particular focus on First Nation on-reserve youth.
From a client service perspective the partnership will focus on supplying employers with First Nation clients who are ready for work. Our services include:
Transition and settlement services, including helping both clients and employers to address persistent barriers to employment such as transportation, shelter and workplace readiness;
Brokering the relationship between job seeking clients and employers by matching workplace ready clients to the labour market needs defined by employers;
Improving access to “health” services such as counselling, addictions treatment, and mental health programs through our affiliated partners;
Providing enhanced access to quick skills training; and,
Providing employment support services such as job-site mentors, retention services, and Aboriginal cultural awareness and inclusiveness services to workplaces.
